  20. 1 cup yogurt + 1/2 cup yogurt
  21. 2 tbsp crushed red pepper
  22. 1 tbsp all spices
  23. 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  24. 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder
  25. 2 tbsp coriander powder
  26. 1 tbsp imly (tamarind)
  27. For decoration
  28. 1 bunch coriander leaves roughly chopped
  29. 1/2 bunch mint leaves roughly chopped
  30. 2 green chillies roughly chopped
  31. 9-12 aloo bukhara
  32. 1 lemon
  33. 1 tsp chaat masala
  34. 1 cup brown onion
  35. 2 tomatoes roughly chopped
  36. 1/2 cup yogurt mix with pinch of zarda colour
  37. 1/4 tsp Salt
  38. 1 tsp crushed red pepper

Steps to make to make Special biryani

  1. In a pan heat oil.
  2. Add onions. Fry till light brown add in ginger garlic paste, garlic fry well. Add cumin seeds. Add potatoes and fry for 5 minutes. Add chicken and fry.
  3. Add tomatoes and bhuno well. Add all the seasonings and mix well. Add yogurt 1 cup and mix well. Add 1/2 cup water and cook till chicken tender and done.
  4. In another pan boil the rice with salt, pinch zarda colour, 2-3 mint leaves and badiyan. For decoration mix well all the ingredients and keep aside.
  5. Assembling : First add little oil from chicken gravy.
  6. Then put rice layer then chicken salan layer top with decoration and pour yogurt over it.
  7. Then again put rice layers. Drizzle zarda colour and oil. Put on dam for 15 minutes and then serve with salad.
